This is just a normal post of my current thoughts in this music biz.

Its now harder to be different.The reason being is there are so many followers now,so an original dress code to me can easily turn into a gimmick. For instance if your a less known rapper and you bought sum skinny jeans to wear because thats what your comfortable in,thats supposed to be you being different,right. But because wayne and kanye wanted to be different and impacted a culture threw there fashion,now u come off as the wanna be hipster or back pack rapper.

I touch on this subject cuz in my community im looked at as very different!! but to people that get a first impression of me they say they see Andre 3000 or less,B.O.B. and i say less for B.O.B because he’s not an inspiration of mine like Outkast.

So because im still unsigned and not as known,i get these comparisons and come off to sum as maybe a follower…..

Some people know me personally and know that i was practicing guitar and wanted to learn instruments, but B.O.B picked up guitar and actually got alot better than me,so i was forced in order to save my brand to no longer play guitar because people will see me as another wanna be.

Theres certain hats i dont wear so i dont look like anyone, sum beats i dont use because i want my sound to be original, i even stop using some of my regions slang just so i dont come across as easily influenced. This is a full time job being me! especially when most people in this game are doing it to look kool! and im not knocking B.O.B for what he do, its just that i know the outcome,there will be plenty other new rappers that want to be like B.O.B .And then we have 50 Bobby rays runnin around the unsigned world over saturating the game.And thats a pack i dont want to be in.

So to close this out,know your lane,be yourself.if you find yourself pickn up a habit that sum one else had before you,then chances are you were influenced and didnt know it.Or you could just be a lil to late and sumbody beat you to it. that doesn’t mean you have to not! do it. The only time you will need to take the loss of your ideas being on the back burner is if the lane you want to take is the lane of being an original. And thats when it becomes hard being different.
